Main internal loadbearing walls removed and loads transferred through steel picture frames to walls below.
Handling and installation of picture frames enabled by adopting stool system and prefabricated channel sections.
Infill staircase voids.
Reconfiguration and minor structural alterations at basement level.
The building remained in use during the works.
